Once upon a time in the city of old Pekin lived the Empress Tutti Frutti, and her beautiful daughter Princess Jasmine. No one in the city was allowed to gaze at the Princess except Suzie Pong, the owner of the Royal Scrubbery.
One day, when our story begins, Jasmine grows bored of her sheltered life and decides she will disguise herself with an old cloak and have a ‘peek at the people of Pekin’. In this disguise she meets Aladdin, son of Widow Twankey and they fall in love. Meanwhile, wicked Abanazar, with the help of the Slave of the Ring, has found his way to Pekin where he means to meet Jasmine and marry her. He also intends to enlist the help of Aladdin and find the magic lamp, which is hidden in a cave in Bald Mountain. He soon meets Widow Twankey and her lazy son Wishee Washee and pretends to be Twankey’s long lost brother-in-law.
Aided by the Slave of the Ring, Abanazar takes Aladdin from Pekin to the Bald Mountain. Once there, Aladdin enters the cave and finds the magic lamp. Through his own tardiness Aladdin fails to get out in time and becomes trapped. He rubs the magic lamp, realises its powers and soon escapes back to Pekin where he is re-united with Jasmine.
Unfortunately Abanazar also returns as a lamp seller. He persuades Jasmine to exchange Aladdin’s magic lamp for a new one. He then uses the Genie of the lamp’s power to transport Jasmine and himself to Egypt.
Aladdin, helped by the Slave of the Ring, Twankey, Wishee and Quackers, finds Jasmine and rescues her from Abanazar. The citizens of Pekin are transported to Egypt to join them and the marriage of Aladdin and Jasmine takes place.
